[9] Kast van een Huis

Comments: In the Dutch language the word "kast" means a closet, storage or a cabinet. When the dutch talk about "Een kast van een Huis" , then they mean an enormous or huge house. This saying is similar to the English saying "a barn of a house". The Canalhouse Closet Collection was designed and is produced in the eastern part of the Netherlands. This area has a reputation of reliable and good craftsmanship. Our furniture is produced with great care. The models are made out of MDF and coated with environmentally safe products, available in many colours.

[6] Wolfgang Sirch: Villa Sibi: NOVA68.COM MODERN DESIGN

Comments: New modernist doll house made in Switzerland. This modernist dollhouse comes with plexiglass sliding doors, beech furnishings, a kitchen island, indoor swimming pool (perfect for the German climate) and shower. Sirch is a woodworking family from Germany with a 400-year history. The current Sirch, Wolfgang, has teamed with Christof Bitzer to design an excellent range of toys and furniture. Their latest creation is the Villa Sibi, a high modernist dollhouse crafted out of hardwoods. Although the NY Times said it's for budding Neutras, it is actually reminiscent of Mies van der Rohe's residential architecture. Wunderschön!

Top 40 sites according to FeedBurner stats - franticindustries.

Besides waiting for FeedBurner to actually do a top list, the second best thing I could do is to create my own list of top blogs according to their FeedBurner RSS subscriber data.

Just looking at Emily Chang's post about putting together all of her online output into one data stream and it's a great concept.

Tumblr - Personal River of News « Kiyo?s Blog

"I like its simplicity. Some people are asking for comments, but I don?t think Tumblr need them. It?s more like a personal ?River of News?. The feeds import feature reminds me of Emily Chang?s My Data Stream. With Tumblr you can add ad hoc posts to the stream."

[25] Design Crack » Blog Archive » Grassland Tape by And Design

Comments: The grassland tape is an attempt to capture nature in a roll of adhesive plastic. What I love about the new trend towards wall apliques is how fresh the ideas are when the amount of work to produce those ideas goes way down. What I mean is, the grassland tape’s effect is not unlike a stencil that can be applied to a room for instance. The work to apply stencils is high, so the average person will not spend much time stenciling a room and making complex patterns. Grassland tape, however, is easy to apply because it’s tape: just roll it out. The designs can become much fancier with less effort to apply.

[27] Design Crack » Blog Archive » Function Tiles by Droog Design

Comments: Function Tiles is an oldie but a goodie. It’s a tile system from 1997 by Droog Designers Peter van der Jagt, Erik-Jan Kwakkel, and Arnout Visser that makes the tiles work more functionally, thus the name “Function Tiles”. The concept is brilliant. That is, getting more out of your shower or bathroom with limited space. Or, does the system function for minimalists that need tons of gadgets but want to hide them? However you spin it, the idea is really, really cool. I mean, how cool would it be to have a tv built into your shower? Pretty damn cool. BTW, it’s not available, so if someone could please manufacture this soon, that would be goo.
