Google I/O Conference

"Google I/O is a developer gathering focused on pushing the boundaries of web applications using Google and open web technologies. Google engineers and web development leaders will lead you through two days full of in-depth breakout sessions on the latest technologies, hands-on Code Labs, and informal Q&A at Fireside Chats.

Google I/O - Web Forward
May 28-29, 2008
Moscone West, San Francisco

Breakout Sessions
Learn first hand from engineering leaders on the cutting edge of web application development. Break out sessions will be offered both for those new to a technology as well as experienced developers looking for an inside edge.
Code Labs

Experience hands on coding in the I/O Code Labs. These labs are designed to walk developers through their first experience with a technology or development feature. Code Labs are a great way to get your feet wet with Gears, Google Web Toolkit, the Google Data APIs, and many other products and technologies.

Fireside Chats
Fireside Chats bring together developers and Google engineering teams in an informal setting to ask those hard questions, discuss approaches to problems, and think about the future.

Tech Talks
Google has a tradition of holding informative Tech Talks on campus that offer insight into an area. In that tradition, Google I/O features Tech Talks on subjects of interest to developers, such as computer science problems and programming languages.
Connect with the Community

Google I/O is as much about bringing bright developers together to share ideas as it is about education in sessions. There is plenty of time to meet other developers, discuss ideas, and share what you’ve been working on.

After Hours at Google I/O
If you’re too busy taking it all in during the day, then After Hours will give you a chance to meet developers with similar interests and relax with food, drinks, a code lounge and more. You don’t even have to leave the Moscone Center. After Hours will be held at the same venue. Who knows, maybe we have a few surprises up our sleeve as well...”
