The Stylehive Launches New Retailer and Publisher Social Sites

The Stylehive, the leading social shopping site, announces the release of new features that will help retailers and publishers make their sites social.

Stylehive’s new “Nectar Hives” for retailers and publishers offer instant social shopping features: Early online adopters like InStyle, The Gap, Shopbop, Lisa Kline, and Ron Herman are partnering with the Stylehive to add a social shopping dimension to their online efforts.

Stylehive (http://www.stylehive.com) is the first social shopping destination to offer a quick and simple way to “snap-on” social shopping features to a retailers or publisher’s site. Setting up their own communities on the Stylehive platform allows retailer and publishers to easily leverage the features and benefits that social shopping platforms deliver.

“Online retailers and publishers are looking for a way to make their sites more social, to take advantage of the “authenticity” and viral distribution that communities like the Stylehive offer,” said Michael Carrier, CEO of the Stylehive.

Adds Will Hunsinger, VP, GM of Gap Online, “It’s all about reaching the consumer on their terms.  Making your site more social is a powerful way to build a community and get the crowd engaged, in a positive way, with your products and brand”

More and more retailers are thinking like publishers - focusing on reach and distribution of their content.  They want to make their product content portable and sharable in the crowd.  Stylehive’s new “nectar hives” give them an easy way to do this.  Stylehive’s partner sites can:

- Add social networking to their brands with minimal effort.  With their own customized hub page on Stylehive, a retailer, publisher or blogger has an instant presence within Styehive’s community of taste-makers.

The Stylehive community at large finds and shares the hottest products and content from all of the top retailers and publishers on-line - - now the retailers and publishers themselves get to participate.

- Spotlight their experts .  Brands can showcase their personalities and style experts - - buyers, stylists, editors, founders, designers - - in personalized “hives.” The experts share their favorite products and community members can decide which personalities to follow.

- Reach a wider audience.  Retailers, Publishers and Bloggers partnering with the Stylehive can expose their brand to a highly-targeted audience of Influencers expanding their current reach.  Even better, they can get the crowd recruiting new members to their community and brand.  They can get feedback and communicate directly with their community members via the features on the site.

- Get the community selling for them.  Community members tell each other - and everyone else - which products they love and why everyone must have them.  So, community members are not only buying products - they are helping to sell them as well.

- Add a viral dimension to their online efforts.  As new members join their communities, partners get the benefit of Stylehive’s highly viral community environment.
